Welcome to CASA's 2017 Policy and Strategy Conference! Now that CASA's 2017-2018 delegates are familiar with the organization and the role the federal government plays in post-secondary education, it's time to get to work.
Who?
Anyone who currently works for a student association at a Canadian post-secondary school is welcome to attend. This includes delegates from our member associations as well as those who are not members but are curious about CASA (we call you observers).
Observers are welcome to attend all conference sessions, including plenary. However, if an in-camera session is called during plenary, all observers will be asked to step out temporarily, along with CASA staff. This conference will provide an excellent opportunity for you to meet CASA delegates and staff, familiarize yourself with the organization, and see how CASA sets priorities and work plans for the year. Note that this a work intensive conference.
What?
During CASA's Policy and Strategy Conference (#PolStratCon), CASA's members come together and work to identify their policy and advocacy priorities for the year, finalize their committee work plans, and more. View the tentative conference schedule.
Where?
This year, the conference is being held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Kananaskis Lodge in Kananaskis, AB. Those attending the conference are also eligible to stay at this hotel, at CASA's discounted rate of $172 CAD plus a $10 resort fee per night. Book here by June 30, 2017.
If arriving by plane, you will need to fly to the Calgary International Airport and choose one of the many transportation options available from the airport to Kananaskis.

Check-in for the conference will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, July 24, and conference sessions will run all day from July 25 to 27.
