Canadian Alliance of Student Associations Welcomes New Executive Director

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, July 6th 2015– The Canadian Alliance of Student Associations (CASA) is delighted to welcome Maria-Hélèna Pacelli as its new Executive Director, effective immediately.

“Maria-Hélèna brings an incredibly diverse skill set and knowledge to CASA from having served as a community organizer, artist and activist. Her interest in social movements, transformation and relevant political issues will no doubt be great assets to our membership as we embark on an important advocacy year”, said Erik Queenan, Board Chair of CASA.

Pacelli received a B.A from Concordia University in Fine Arts, and Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Ottawa. She is also fluent in three languages.

The Board of Directors would like to express its appreciation and gratitude to Jonathan Champagne for his two years of service to CASA and wishes him the utmost success in his future endeavours.
