On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, CASA presented to the Senate's Finance Committee on the government's recent announcement that they would be lowering interest rates on student loans and providing new graduates 6 months interest-free. This is something we have advocated for over several years, and we are overjoyed to see our recommendations being adopted to help reduce student debt. Ultimately, we want to see interest on student loans eliminated altogether, but this is an awesome measure nonetheless!
