Lily is the Director-at-Large of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at CASA. She also serves as the VP Academic-External for the Acadia Students Union! Lily is entering her fourth year of Politics and cares deeply about inclusive policymaking.
Growing up with a disability, Lily saw the impact that advocacy could have on her community. Whether it be a badly paved sidewalk or inclusive recreation, Lily has pushed for accessible and equitable communities since before she knew what politics was. Lily has served as a first-voice accessibility consultant since her teens and spent over five years advocating for inclusive recreation, along with accessibility within the public service. This is what led her to student advocacy. Beginning as a major student voice on Acadia University’s Accessibility Council, she worked with the University to host events, write strategic plans, and represent the student voice. This led her to serve on the Board of the Canadian Accessibility Network before transitioning to student government. Her work with CASA builds on her previous experience and creates national impact.
Outside of advocacy, Lily loves to swim, hike, and curl up with a good book!
