Mackenzy has been involved in post-secondary education advocacy for several years. As a student advocate at Western University, Mackenzy represented Western students as the head of government relations at her student union and sat on the board of directors for provincial and national student advocacy organizations, including the Ontario Undergraduate Student Association.
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Mackenzy is finishing her Master's in Political Management at Carleton University and holds an Honours Specialization in International Relations from Western University. Mackenzy is now the Executive Director of the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations.
