Mackenzy is proudly from Windsor, Ontario and recently moved to Ottawa from London, Ontario. 

She is no stranger to student politics, having served as the Vice-President of External Affairs at the University Student’s Council at Western University, leading government relations and advocacy for Western’s 35 000 students. She also played an active role in advocacy organizations in student politics. She served as the Vice-President of Finance at the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA), and as the Chair of Undergraduates of Canadian Research-Intensive Universities (UCRU). 

Mackenzy is finishing her Masters in Political Management from Carleton University and holds a Honors Specialization in International Relations from Western University. Prior to joining CASA, she worked in Research at Summa Strategies, a government relations firm in Ottawa, Ontario. 

Outside of student advocacy, Mackenzy has contributed to various municipal, provincial and federal campaigns. She also loves to watch reality TV, and cook.
