Jessica is the President of the University of the Fraser Valley Student Union Society (UFVSUS) located in Abbotsford, B.C. She recently completed her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing and will continue research-based classes focusing on local community initiatives for the remainder of her term in office. This is Jessica’s second year working at the Student Union Society, where she previously held the position of Event Coordinator. She is eager to serve and lead the UFVSUS during these unprecedented times.
As the Director of equity, diversity, and inclusion, Jessica will use her personal mental health experience, her professional experience as a team leader in the Marketing and Communications department at Vancouver International Airport, and her knowledge of Indigenous culture to foster social justice within various organizations. Jessica’s goal is to continue to uphold and strengthen the advancements made by her predecessors and will work collaboratively with CASA’s diverse groups and committees to provide all students with equal opportunity to flourish in an academic environment that celebrates and amplifies marginalized voices.
Outside of student government and school, Jessica enjoys adventuring in the beautiful outdoors of British Columbia with her friends, drinking coffee, obsessing over her cat named Bear, being a parent, and working in her carpentry shop.
