Emma Drake

Emma is originally from Prince Edward Island, and has lived one year in Belgium participating in the Rotary Youth Exchange before starting University. She is currently a third year student at the University of Prince Edward Island, in a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science. At the UPEI Student Union, Emma is the President & CEO, and was elected to the CASA Board of Directors for the position of Director of Advocacy. Previous to this, Emma held the position of Associate Director of Communications in her first year at UPEI, and Vice President Academic & External in her second year. Outside of student politics, Emma is involved with the PEI Coalition for Women in Government. 

This year, the Director of Advocacy will play a large role in shaping CASA's Get Out The Vote Campaign, encouraging students to vote in the upcoming federal election. Alongside the National Advocacy Committee and full-time staff, Emma will supporting the membership in preparation for the campaign, and help set the direction for key ideas, events, and strategies for the campaign. After Get Out The Vote, Emma will be working with the National Advocacy Committee to play a larger role in supporting the membership with structuring year-round advocacy, by creating an Annual Advocacy Plan. Emma is looking forward to the busy, challenging, and exciting year ahead and is eager to see students get to the polls and structure CASA's year-round advocacy!

Outside of student politics, Emma collects maps and loves City Cinema, a local cinema in Charlottetown PE.
